Good News Everyone!

After a few weeks of very nervous nerds, it was announced this week that the original cast of Futurama is set to return when it's revived on Comedy Central in 2010:

The "Futurama" reboot is now on track.

The recent 20th Century Fox TV-"Futurama" voice actor standoff won't have an effect on the show's timetable, insiders said over the weekend. The show's new round of episodes is still set to bow on Comedy Central in 2010.

Here's what won't be happening this week, however: auditions to replace the five "Futurama" cast members.

Casting execs were set to begin meeting with replacement thesps this week. But the five stars -- John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Maurice LaMarche and Tress MacNeille -- finally sealed pacts late Friday with 20th Century Fox TV to return to the show.

Both the actors and 20th are believed to have found a compromise. Move comes after 20th put out a casting call in July to find replacement voice actors for the show.

Futurama Quote of the Day

Here it is, your Futurama quote of the day, straight out of the greatest Futurama episode ever, the one with Beck.... remember, when Beck was on Futurama? Well he was... and here's something Bender said:

"Fry cracked corn and I don't care... Leela cracked corn, I still don't care... Bender cracked corn and he is great, take that you stupid corn." - Bender Bending Rodriguez

Compare Your Lives To Mine, Then Kill Yourselves.

$24.99 can buy a lot of different things, two and a half bottles of Fleischmanns Vodka... two gallon of gas.... or one officially licened Matt Groening-copyrighted Bender wind-up. If there's one thing I love more than Futurama, it's utterly useless memorabilia. Bender is probably the greatest cartoon character since Handsome Pete (look it up) and what better way to tell your co-workers that you're twenty-something that still watch cartoons than a big ass Bender toy for your cubicle? What I ask you, what?
